Alejandro Sánchez is a Project Development Engineer for CDG Environmental Advisors.
Mr. Sánchez holds a degree in Tourism and Ecology from Universidad de Costa Rica, specializing in Natural Resources Management. He has worked for the Costa Rican Science and Culture Center (CCCC), and the Ministry of Energy and the Environment (MINAE), specifically in the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC).
Mr. Sánchez has also worked in the private sector for Grupo Nueva, as a member of the Eco-efficiency Program in its subdivisions AMANCO, TERRANOVA, and ECOS.
He has been involved in the creation of Land-Use and Management Plans, and in environmental commissions of different foundations and municipalities. Mr. Sánchez has vast experience in auditing and implementing Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Systems under ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 norms, respectively.
Mr. Sánchez is part of the Civil Society Program, in the division for natural resource protection and integrated watershed management.
David Espinoza is the head of the Geographic Information System (GIS) department of CDG Environmental Advisors. Mr. Espinoza is also one of the company’s forestry project managers.
He has four years of experience working with CDG Environmental Advisors. Besides his work on GIS, he has been in charge of tree-cutting permits, and reforestation and forestry evaluation projects.
Mr. Espinoza has also participated in environmental studies, mostly in Environmental Management Plans and Environmental Impact Studies.
Mr. Espinoza is a forestry engineer registered in the Professional College of Agronomical Engineers and the SETENA registry of environmental consultants. He is a graduate of the Costa Rica Technological Institute (ITCR) and is currently enrolled in the Natural Resources Management and Protection License program at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED).
He has received formal GIS training, ranging from a course from the United States National Parks Service on land management using ArcGIS, and a training seminar from the International Center for Land Policy Studies in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Mr. Espinoza is fluent in English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Chinese.
Juan Manuel Millán is the Manager of Forestry Projects of CDG Environmental Advisors.
Mr. Millán is in charge of all the forestry aspects of the Guanacaste Development Corporation projects, and coordinates other forestry activities for projects nationwide.
He has four years of experience working with CDG Environmental Advisors. His main responsibilities include cutting permits, reforestation projects and forestry evaluation and due diligence.
Mr. Millán has also participated in environmental studies, mostly in the preparation of Environmental Management Plans and Environmental Impact Studies.
Mr. Millán is a certified forestry manager registered in the Professional College of Agronomical Engineers as well as the consultant’s registry in SETENA.
He is a graduate of the Costa Rican Technological Institute (ITCR) with a degree in Forestry Engineering. He has Business Administration studies in the Universidad Central (UC) and is currently finishing his Natural Resources Management and Protection License degree at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED).
Mr Millán is fluent in English and Spanish, with basic knowledge of French and Portuguese. He was born in 1978 in Costa Rica, and possesses dual citizenship from Costa Rica and Spain.
